A Lemon is Born

It was the weekend again. And I remembered of Cast Away, the movie I had in Q for watching since more than 4 years back.

The show had begun. This is one of the good movies I ever saw. My ‘good’ is equivalent to 6-stars rating on Times of India. I could have said 5-stars, but a movie needs to be too cheap to be a 5-starrer on TOI after Dev-D was granted the same. It’s really good to have a large user-base and then you can sell, re-sell anything.

Back to Cast Away, the movie was all going exciting. Chuck Noland’s plane crash-landed on a no-man’s island. His beard went on growing along with other happenings and his fight to survive. It was 4 years in the island and suddenly I saw him staring at a plastic sheet fished out of the waves. He was thinking, thinking and thinking. I can’t wait more than a minute with nothing happenning in the movie.

Chuck in deep thought, so was I.

Chuck in deep thought, so was I.

Suddenly it striked, “Hey, I have clicked a similar shot somewhere recently”. I was thinking where I took the shot while Chuck was thinking something he kept to himself, and the director.

Yes, I got it. Yes, YEs, yeS. And resumed the movie.

The shot was taken when I visited their place. They had new-born twins. And I took a photo.  (No this was not the Chuck-Noland-Shot.) Thereafter I had been clicking photos on 5 consecutive birth days of theirs.

Lemons do celebrate their birthday once a day as their life-span is somewhere around 60 days (I don’t know actually. But it’s very probable that You too don’t) . So here are the snaps:

“I don’t know actually. But it’s very probable that You too don’t”; can’t get better than this.

PS: I liked Dev d and can fully justify its 5 stars any day. But how many stars do u have for Castaway…?
